Some brilliant bowling from Sri Lanka's main two bowlers restricted New Zealand to an inadequate 219 which proved easy for Sri Lanka to get. Muralitharan just pipped Vaas for the top spot. Styris's unbeaten 111 keeping New Zealand together moves him up to top batsman so far as well as holding first position with his overall contributions.
