Australia vs Scotland

The top 9 players in this match were Australians, with only Clarke and Hussey failing to make a positive contribution so no wonder they won by 203 runs. For Scotland only Smith with 51 had a reasonable match. It was a close battle for top player with McGrath's 3-14 off 6 overs and part in a run-out just pipping Ponting's 113 and Hoggs 40 not out off 15 balls and 1-16 off 7 overs.

Scorecard

Top 5
5 GD McGrath 128
4 RT Ponting 115
3 GB Hogg 108
2 AC Gilchrist 49
1 SR Watson 45

Eh - Hogg failed to make a positive contribution !? Then suddenly he crops up in your top 5?

Is it possible for all players to have a negative contribution. e.g. only leg byes and "obstructing the field" or will everyone score zero in this case !?

Also - where is Kenya Canada ?

Hogg should have been Hussey, now corrected in post.

Don't think everyone could end up negative, even under extreme circumstances. I think everyone could make a positive contribution as fielding dismissals have an additional positive contribution on top of that a bowler gains for the wicket.

Kenya Canada has some uncertainties about the run outs. The scorecard on cricinfo will be accepted as gospel if uncertainty remains. Will follow soon!
